To bring your dog and/or cat into Antigua you must apply for a Veterinary Import License from the Veterinary and Livestock Division.

If the country of origin is a rabies infected country (USA) there are additional requirements, rabies serology paperwork, and need for microchipping in your pet. All rabies testing must be conducted at an OIE approved laboratory.

General Information

Antigua and Barbuda (Spanish for "Ancient" and "Bearded") is an island nation located on the eastern boundary of the Caribbean Sea with the Atlantic Ocean. As its name suggests, it consists of two major islands – Antigua and Barbuda as well as a number of smaller islets. All are close neighbors within the middle of the Leeward Islands and roughly 17 degrees north of the equator.
